Furniture Design and Fabric Specification Training for Interior Designers

Location: David Shaw Showroom and Factory, 104 Antigua St, Addington
This professional development training is designed for interior designers who are interested in furniture design and fabric specification. You will learn about David Shaw's design process, material selection, different types of foam and cushion inners, construction techniques, and how they can customize David Shaw pieces for their clients. The training will also include a tour of the David Shaw factory and demonstrations by their makers. You will also learn about different upholstery fabrics, how to choose the right types of fabrics for different furniture designs, and the care and maintenance of soft and hard furniture. You will be provided with a training manual containing all the information covered during the day.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
